Editor's Note: The Maroon Monsoon is hosting a monthly campaign honoring teachers who help inspire and shape the minds of the next generation. The Monsoon thanks teachers throughout the district for their hard and dedicated work.
Even though this is Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week, we still want to point out one individual teacher whose dedication to their students is the most humble. For those reasons, The Maroon Monsoon has selected Mrs. Erica Kranz - from Riverside - to be the May Teacher of the Month!
Mrs. Kranz has been teaching at MCS for 19 years, mostly Science at Riverside Intermediate School.
Mrs. Kranz currently teaches science and math at Riverside - "I enjoy this very much." she stated. Although, she has taught many classes over the years. "The only class I've never taught is social studies, and I'm pretty happy about that!" Mrs. Kranz is also involved in District wide leadership groups, such as the Manchester Education Association, Professional Council, and PRIDE: a Riverside Committee that focuses on positive behavior interventions and support. Kranz notes "The part I like best about Riverside is the connection I have with the teachers in staff. We all seem to get along well and work together in a way that's productive."
The Maroon Monsoon wants to thank Mrs. Kranz for her service and dedication to Manchester Community Schools.
