General Interest Headline:

  • Students who are attending After Prom need to have signed parent form turned in by Friday, April 26. Please come to the office if you need a copy.

  • SLS/SRSLY will have a AAA driving simulator available during lunch Tuesday, April 23rd. You must have a permit or driver's license to use it!

  • Basic Equestrians 4-H club has created a Little Caesar’s fundraiser to support a past member named Cody Simpson. Cody was involved in a horrific car crash and has been in the hospital for several months. This fundraiser is designed to help his family with hospital expenses. Contact Megan Reppert, Julia Johnson, Jenna Johnson, or Cassie Rose for the order forms. We would love if you could support the cause!

  • If you are in a club/activity and have not paid your fee’s those are due and must be paid.

  • Don’t forget to bring in your coins for our Leo’s club coin drive that is happening Friday, April 26th. Please bring your coins to your third hour class where we will be collecting them. The third hour class that collects the money, will win a pizza party!

  • Herff Jones will be here on April 15th during A lunch for senior announcements.

  • Attention Seniors: A personal safety / self defense workshop is coming to Manchester just for you. It's happening Monday, May 6th at 6:30 pm in the media center - you must sign up in Ms. Rollins room if you want to attend. It is free, but you must preregister.

  • On Monday, April 15, inspections of all 11th grade student chromebooks will be conducted during 4th, 5th and 7th hour. Any student grades 9 through 12 that were unable to have their chromebook inspected on their scheduled day are asked to come to the Media Center on Monday during those hours. Students are to bring their chromebook and chargers.

  • The annual MHS student art exhibit opens Friday, April 5th at the Manchester District Library. The free open-house style event runs from 6-8 pm and offers free food, great art, and voting for the People's Choice Award. See Mrs. Griffin if you have any questions.

  • All Seniors who ordered a senior shirt, see Ms. Rollins.

Sports Headlines:

  • Yoga Instructor, Michelle Pink is offering four free yoga sessions to be held in the Media Center after school on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning next week. The sessions are from 2:45-4:00 on April 8, 10, 15 and 17. Interested students can sign up to attend by the end of the week in the High School Office.

General Interest Headline:

  • 8th graders, Tomorrow we will be visiting the consortium program in Saline. We will be leaving by 8:30 and return at about 10:45 or near the near the beginning of 4th hour. Please make sure you arrive on time to school tomorrow.

  • This week is Spirit Week coming up along with the chance to enter into a raffle! It’s simple, all you have to do is go to the Dutch Den on Monday to receive a punch card. Everyday you dress up, you return to the Dutch Den with your card and get a hole punch. On Friday, if you have all of your days punched, you are then entered into a raffle for some cool Dutch Prizes!

  • 7th and 8th grade students are you interested in joining the Middle School track and field team? Sign up now for middle school track as practice begins April 1st. Sign up sheets are in Mr Halls classroom if you have not signed up yet. You must have a sports physical to be able to practice. Questions see Mr. Hall.

General Interest Headline:

  • The Drama Club is hosting an Into the Woods Homemade poster contest!

Originally draw, paint, computer design, etc. a poster for MHS Drama Club’s upcoming musical Into The Woods. Poster can be any size and as creative and original as possible. ANYONE from ANY GRADE may enter. You MAY enter more than one submission. You must display the title of the musical (Into the Woods) somewhere on the poster. It must be origional, and it must stick to the theme of the musical. Some ideas include: enchanted forest, bakery/sweets, Red Riding Hood, and more! The poster is due MARCH 14. You must have your name on the back - and return it to Mrs. Griffin or Autumn Cole. The winner will be announced on March 15. There will be prizes such as 2 free tickets to our show, and an advertisement space for the winner of the contest. The winning poster will be put up around the Village of Manchester, and other places of interest. Good luck!

  • Good Luck to the Lady Dutch Basketball team as they play Michigan Center tonight in the 2nd round of Districts. The game will start at 5:30pm and be played @ Napoleon. Go Dutch.

  • M.A.Y.S. softball/baseball is looking for umpires. Sign-up is located in the main office of the Jr./Sr. High School.

January 7th & 8th, 2019

    • Manchester Young Guns will have registration January 10th and 11th from 6-8 pm in the activity room at the high school. There are flyers in the office.
    • Potential Baseball players please see Mr. Smith in Room 205 after school sometime this week to sign up for winter workouts!
    • Attention anyone interested in playing High School softball. There is a sign up sheet in Coach Fether's room (118). We will be starting 4 player workouts this Sunday.
    • The Into the Woods orchestra is not needed until next Tuesday.
    • Yearbook club is meeting Thursday after school in the media center. New faces are welcome!
    • If you are missing coats, sweaters, pants, shorts, water-bottles, coffee mugs, jewelry, or anything else from this semester, please come to the lost and found and claim it as soon as possible. Anything unclaimed will be donated at the end of the semester.
    • A representative from the United States Navy will be here Friday afternoon. If you would like to schedule some time to meet with him, please email Ms. Kolcz to reserve a spot.

December 5th, 2018

  • 7th and 8th graders that took art with Mrs. Griffin 1st quarter, please stop by the art room to pick up your artwork. Please do not come during class time.

  • If you are in a club and still owe the $35.00 activity fee, please bring it to the office as soon as possible. Thank you!
  • Reminder to all 10th graders: In order to go on the Consortium visit next week, your parent must submit a permission slip on your behalf. Please check your school email for directions.
  • Attention any high school students interested in learning more about engineering and computer science careers. The High School robotics team will be kicking off the 2019 season at the beginning of the year in January. If you are interested in learning more about the team come to our pre-season meeting during advisory next week on Wednesday, the 28th.
