The Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Summer RISE (Reimagining an Innovative Student Experience) 2026 program is now accepting Host Registrations through Friday, March 13, 2026!
Register today to become a Summer RISE Host and help prepare the next generation of talent. Together, we can provide 1,000 high school students with engaging, real-world learning experiences that broaden their understanding of career possibilities and strengthen our local workforce pipeline.
Since 2017, more than 5,500 students have participated in Summer RISE, thanks to the partnership of employers across Montgomery, Prince George’s, and Frederick counties, Washington, D.C., Baltimore City, and beyond — including California, Connecticut, Ireland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia — through both virtual and hybrid opportunities.
About Summer RISE
Businesses, nonprofits, higher education institutions and government agencies can host rising MCPS juniors and seniors to provide them with career-based learning opportunities related to their field of interest through the Summer RISE program.
Summer RISE is 50 hours with in-person, virtual or hybrid options, and will take place over 5 weeks from June 22-July 24, 2026.

• Matching based on student-desired industry
• Hosts complete registration, orientation and training prior to working with students
Summer RISE Hosts help students:
understand a company's organizational structure and how a company functions as a whole.
learn about employer expectations in a typical workplace environment, about career options, starting salaries, degrees, certifications, credentials, and experiences needed to pursue a career in a specific field.
practice professional and technical employment skills sought by the employer.
experience what it would be like to be a staff member with their host.
