Reading

The Benchmark website allows students to access many different books on a variety of levels. Students can use the Library to find and read books in English and Spanish. Students practice reading to build fluency, increase vocabulary, and improve comprehension! Read a book from your Benchmark Library to earn points!

ABCya

ABCya has reading games and activities for all elementary school age children. Students can select a grade level to begin playing a variety of learning games.

Capstone Interactive Library

Students need to use the login information on the right to access this site. Once they are in, they can read and listen to a variety of books.

Epic is a reading website for all elementary school students. Students can read thousands of amazing books on Epic.

DOGO News is a website where students can read articles on current events, sports, science, technology and more.

Into the Book is a website for older readers who want to work on comprehension. Students can play reading strategy games to deepen understanding.

Storyline Online is a website with famous people reading great books. This site will help students build reading and writing skills as well as expand their English vocabulary.

Smithsonian

The Tween Tribune website from the Smithsonian has a lot of articles for students in the upper grades.

Tumble Books

TumbleBook Library has some animated books. You can read a book on your own or have it read to you.

Sora

Students use their MCPS username and password to read from a digital book database with print and audio.
