Mr. Lee's Musicians

Hi, I'm Mr. Lee!

I'm really excited for this school year and for the music that we're going to create together! Here's a little bit about me:

I grew up in Laurel, MD and started playing the trumpet when I was in 2nd grade. When I was in 4th grade, my Dad asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. My response was "I want to be a trumpet player when I grow up". I'm all grown up and that's what I've become :o)

I went on the University of Maryland in College Park and graduated with two degrees in Music (Music Education and Trumpet Performance) in 2009. 

After I graduated, I went on to teach in Prince George's County for 4 1/2 years. I've been teaching in Montgomery County Public Schools since 2014 and have taught at both the Elementary and Middle School levels. 

When I'm not teaching, I love hanging out with my wife and fur-baby (dog). I'm addicted to mountain biking and love being outdoors. 

I'm excited to see what we can accomplish this year!

¡Estoy muy emocionada por este año escolar y por la música que vamos a crear juntos! Aquí hay un poco sobre mí:

Crecí en Laurel, MD y comencé a tocar la trompeta cuando estaba en segundo grado. Cuando estaba en cuarto grado, mi papá me preguntó qué quería ser cuando fuera grande. Mi respuesta fue "Quiero ser trompetista cuando sea grande". Ya soy mayor y en eso me he convertido :o)

Fui a la Universidad de Maryland en College Park y me gradué con dos títulos en Música (Educación Musical y Interpretación de Trompeta) en 2009.

Después de graduarme, pasé a enseñar en el condado de Prince George durante 4 años. He estado enseñando en las Escuelas Públicas del Condado de Montgomery desde 2014 y he enseñado tanto en la escuela primaria como en la secundaria.

Cuando no estoy enseñando, me encanta pasar el rato con mi esposa y bebés peludos (perro). Soy adicto al ciclismo de montaña y me encanta estar al aire libre.
