About Ms. Powery
I have enjoyed working in MCPS since 2007. I earned a Master of Science in Special Education from Johns Hopkins and a Master of Education in School Counseling from Loyola. During my years working with diverse students and their families and teachers, I have developed a deep respect for all types of learners. I am very excited to get to know and work with the students of Montgomery Knolls alongside their families, teachers and community members.
When not at school you may find me traveling to visit family up and down the mid- atlantic and southern coasts, from Pennsylvania to North Carolina, enjoying a stroll along Sligo Creek Parkway or at home, reading, watching tv or cooking with my two kitties.
