January is a time for fresh starts and new learning! This month in the Media Center, students will explore new books, set reading goals, practice research skills, and review how to be safe and kind digital citizens. We are excited to begin the new year with curiosity, creativity, and a love of reading.
Help your students access free, live online tutoring through Montgomery County Public Libraries’ Brainfuse HelpNow. With a library card, students can connect with tutors, get writing feedback, and build skills in all core subjects.
Library Media Lessons
Kindergarten and 1st grade students will visit the library every week. 2nd and 3rd grade students will come to the library on an A/B week schedule. 4th and 5th grade students will visit the library for collaborative lessons to enrich the learning happening in their classrooms.
Throughout the year students will learn how the library works, exploring new books, building research skills and celebrating the joy of reading!
