World Languages

Paint Branch offers Spanish and French to students in levels 1 – 5 and AP, and Japanese to students in  levels 1 – 5. We are one of only four schools in the county to offer Japanese. Classes are conducted in the  target language with much emphasis on interpersonal communication and study of cultural diversity to help  students acquire skills and attitudes necessary for effective participation in an economically, socially and  politically interdependent world. Honors courses begin at level 3 and AP Language and Culture are  available for French and Spanish students. The language program is complemented by trips and  exchanges, where students get a chance to practice their skills in a total immersion environment.
