Volunteers

Do you love to read?

Do you have a way with numbers?

Do your friends ask you for advice?

Do you love to help the people around you?

Do you love Mississippi County, and want to serve your community?

The Mississippi County Literacy Council needs your help!

We need tutors to work with adult learners one-on-one as they master basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills.

We need tutors to help small groups of English-language learners master work, home, and school vocabulary.

We need people enthusiastic about literacy to help in our office, assist with fundraising, and serve on our Board.

We need volunteers who are as diverse as our community: we have opportunities for everyone, even if you don't have much time to give.

We provide free tutor training, ongoing tutor support and education, and the opportunity to help others in your community reach their potential.

Join the Mississippi County Literacy Council Team!

Come to a Tutor Orientation to learn how you can help give the gift of reading. Upcoming events are listed below.
