Lab Certifications
The Student Tech Team program is based on constant learning and improvement. The I.T. Team has created a series of real-world technical challenges for students to learn about and complete. Topics range from building PCs and Chromebooks, to 3D modelling and design, to RAID data storage.
Projects
Students are encouraged to brainstorm their own project ideas and are given the time, training, and resources to make them a reality. Past projects have included organising and coordinating a community eWaste drive, locally hosting a Minecraft server and running a competition, and building an RGB LED display for East campus.
Holiday Work
Student Technicians often assist the I.T. Team in rollouts and maintenance over the school holidays. STT plays a crucial role in ensuring the school maintains a high level of technology delivery.
Why join?
Being a member of Student Tech Team enables you to get hands-on industry experience across a large variety of technologies. You will be continually challenged to learn new skills and undertake self-driven projects. As your competency grows, there are a number of Leadership Positions that carry significant responsibility in the delivery of technology at the school.
How to join?
Student Tech Team opens up for recruitment once per year, usually around the end of Term 1 or Start of Term 2. Due to limited positions available, membership in the team requires an application process and is not guaranteed.
