My name is Jessica Crosby. I was born and raised in McIntosh County, and I currently live in Darien with my 19 year old son, Micah, and my chocolate lab, Faith. This is my 7th year teaching at MCMS and my 10th year in the classroom. I earned a B.A. in International Business, Economics and Policy from Kennesaw State University, a M.A.T. in Special Education from Armstrong State University, and I am currently pursuing a Ed.D. in Special Education at Valdosta State University. I am certified to teach Special Education (grades K-12), Middle School Math (grades 4-8), and Business Education (grades 6-12). I currently teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade math in a resource setting and support a caseload of exceptional learners. When I'm not at school, I enjoy photography, live music, travel, and crafting.
First and foremost, thank you for entrusting me with your most prized possessions: your children. I look forward to working with you as a partner in education, ensuring successful outcomes for your student. My goals as a teacher are to ensure that I present math practically and with application to real world situations, as well as to provide your child with the knowledge, skills and attitude that he/she needs to be successful this school year and beyond. I have high expectations for each of my students and will hold them accountable to do their best and be their best – always. To help ensure that your student does well in class, please be sure that he/she comes prepared for class everyday with a fully charged Chrombeook and all of their supplies. A list of necessary supplies can be found below. If purchasing supplies is an issue for your family, please reach out to me and I will discreetly ensure your student gets what they need to be successful in my class.
