2024 Election Information
Get out and vote. Every election. Every time. Make sure you are registered, talk up the importance voting with friends, family and neighbors, and advocate for expressing your opinion democratically. Vote, vote, vote! Turnout ALWAYS matters.
When is election day?
Tuesday, November 5th
What if I am not registered to vote?
You can register in person by visiting the Town Clerk’s office (before late October). After those dates, you may register in person at the polls on election day.
I am out of town; can I register absentee?
Yes! You can request an absentee voter registration affidavit and a standard voter registration form from your Town Clerk or from the Secretary of State’s Office. The affidavit must be witnessed and both forms must be returned together to the Town Clerk. These forms are all time sensitive. To make your vote count in the upcoming November 5th election, request and return your form and ballot right away!
What do I need to register?
Registering to vote is easy. You will need proof of identity, age, citizenship and residency.
Identity: Driver’s license or non-driver ID from any state (proof of age, identity and residency if the same address as the town in which you are voting)
Citizenship: Birth certificate, US Passport/Passcard or naturalization documentation (proof of citizenship)
Residency: rental agreement, lease, deed, property tax bill, NH motor vehicle registration, NH state issued ID, or similar document showing your name and address in the town in which you are registering to vote at the time of the election.
What if I will not be in town on November 5th?
You can vote via absentee ballot!! Complete the absentee ballot request form and return to your Town Clerk. You will then be sent an absentee ballot that must be received by the Town Clerk no later than November 5th. Voting absentee ballot is a two-step process so complete and return the request application today!
If you request an absentee ballot and are not registered, the Town Clerk will send you both your absentee ballot and your absentee voter registration forms and instructions.
