directions
1. Spread butter on 1 side of each slice of bread.
2. Put skillet on the stove and turn to low or medium-low heat for American cheese. Use low heat if using cheddar, swiss, muenster, etc.
3. Put 1 slice of bread with the butter side down into the skillet.
4. Add 2 slices of cheese.
5. Put on the other slice of bread with the butter side up.
6. Set a timer for 3 minutes if using American cheese.
It will take about 5 minutes if using cheddar, swiss, etc.
7. Carefully, flip the sandwich over.
8. Set the timer for 2 more minutes. It is done cooking when golden brown and the cheese has melted.
9. Remove when cheese has melted and put on a plate. Cut if desired.
