directions
1. Rinse broccoli under cold water.
Skip this step if using pre-cut broccoli.
2. Cut off the stem close to the broccoli tops.
Skip this step if using pre-cut broccoli.
3. Break apart the broccoli with your hands.
Skip this step if using pre-cut broccoli.
4. Cut all the pieces so they are close to the same size.
5. Put enough water in the pot to fill the bottom. About one inch or 1-2 fingers.
6. Add the broccoli to the pot and cover with a lid.
7. Turn to medium high heat.
8. Bring pot to a boil. Leave the lid on and set a timer for 5 minutes.
9. Test for to see if it is done with a fork. When it is done, turn off burner and remove lid. You may want to wear an oven mitt.
10. Scoop out into a bowl or onto a plate.
