Early Literacy Intervention

Early Literacy Intervention is a small group leveled literacy intervention program. It is designed for children who find reading and writing difficult. The goal of the intervention program is to help children become successful in reading and writing and bring them to grade level achievement. Through systematically designed lessons the students are given support in reading and writing development. The students read several books, write about reading, and receive explicit teaching in phonics, fluency, comprehension, and word study . In the writing segment, the students develop critical writing strategies that can be applied in classroom writing contexts.
