The classes I teach include High School Art, 8th Grade Art, English 11/12, and Literature. I am also the Student Council Advisor and the Language Arts Academic Team coach. In 2013, I was selected as the Michigan High School English Teacher of the Year and a National Teacher of Excellence. I am a National Writing Project Fellow and have worked with English Teachers all over Michigan as a literacy coach.
I am a graduate of Big Rapids High School and Central Michigan University, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in English and Art Education. I taught at Shepherd High School for 23 years before moving to the Marlette area and continuing my career at Mayville Community Schools.
I am married to Bob Cloutier, and between us, we have six children and six grandchildren. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, gardening, reading, camping, pool time, snowmobiling, and side-by-side rides.
