Préstamos lingüísticos

A continuación se presenta el resultado del trabajo elaborado por alumnas de octavo grado en la clase de español. Fue un trabajo de varias sesiones que consistió en diseñar una encuesta, analizar resultados y escribir un reporte de éstos.

Resultados de una encuesta realizada sobre los préstamos lingüísticos más conocidos por la población nacida antes y después del 2000

Los alumnos de 8°A de la Escuela Maxei, realizaron una encuesta en la que participaron personas que nacieron antes y después del 2000. Ésta tenía la finalidad de saber cuál era el conocimiento de las personas con respecto a los préstamos lingüísticos del francés, inglés y lenguas indígenas de México. La hipótesis realizada por los alumnos de 8°A de la Escuela Maxei fue que las generaciones nacidas antes del 2000 tendrían más conocimiento de los préstamos lingüísticos del francés y de las lenguas indígenas de México que las generaciones nacidas después del 2000 y que las generaciones nacidas después el 2000, tendrían más conocimiento de los préstamos lingüísticos del inglés que las generaciones nacidas antes del 2000. Algunas de las palabras utilizadas para realizar esta encuesta fueron chocolate, temascal y peyote, derivadas de los préstamos de las lenguas indígenas; mopear, chat y photoshop, provenientes de los préstamos del inglés; crepa, cassette y élite, procedentes de los préstamos lingüísticos del francés.

Cuando los resultados de la encuesta fueron analizados, los alumnos de 8°A de la Escuela Maxei notaron que su hipótesis era parcialmente incorrecta. La información obtenida mostró que las personas nacidas antes del año 2000 conocían 5.28 palabras de 7 préstamos del inglés, 4.67 palabras de 7 préstamos del francés y 4.8 palabras de 7 préstamos de las lenguas indígenas. También mostró que las personas nacidas después del año 2000 conocían 4.8 palabras de 7 préstamos del

inglés, 2.82 palabras de 7 préstamos del francés y 3.17 de 7 préstamos de las lenguas indígenas. La conclusión obtenida con los datos recabados fue que las personas nacidas antes del año 2000 tienen más conocimiento de los préstamos lingüísticos independientemente de la lengua de procedencia, en comparación con las personas nacidas después del 2000. Por ello, es probable que en un futuro los préstamos lingüísticos de estos idiomas sean menos conocidos. Otra conclusión obtenida fue que los préstamos del inglés son los más conocidos por las dos generaciones.

Resultados de una encuesta sobre el conocimiento de préstamos lingüísticos conocidos por adultos y adolescentes

Los alumnos de octavo grado de la escuela Maxei realizaron una encuesta a adultos y adolescentes. El propósito de esta encuesta era conocer cuántos préstamos lingüísticos del inglés y lenguas indígenas conocían los adolescentes y adultos respectivamente. La hipótesis que tuvieron los alumnos de 8° grado fue que los adolescentes conocerían más préstamos del inglés y menos de lenguas indígenas, mientras que los adultos conocerían más préstamos de lenguas indígenas y menos del inglés. Algunas de las palabras que se usaron fueron “crush”, “crossfit”, “jeans”, “tlacoyo”, “aguacate” y “topil”.

Después de analizar los resultados, los alumnos de 8° grado se dieron cuenta de que su hipótesis era parcialmente correcta. Los resultados mostraron que los adolescentes conocían 78% de los préstamos lingüísticos del inglés y 27% de los préstamos indígenas, mientras que los adultos conocieron 75% de los préstamos del inglés y 32% de los préstamos indígenas. En conclusión, los préstamos del inglés tienen más peso en el vocabulario de adolescentes y adultos, mientras que los préstamos indígenas se están perdiendo sin importar de qué edad sea la persona que los hable.

Students have been working on writing a story about something they had done (causative). We focused on a crazy hairstyle change, in a crazy salon, and by a crazy lady. The creativity of every student was phenomenal.

The Craziest Thing That Happened To Me At The Crazy Place Called Krazy Kutz

Yesterday, I had my hair cut but I didn’t get a regular haircut. No, no, no, I had my hair done at Krazy Kut, and I didn’t have it done at some lame, regular salon. I had it done at the great Krazy Kutz right here in Querétaro, Mexico. It all began yesterday at 10 AM. I was having some sushi with my four best friends forever; Ian, Corinne, Morelia and Lupita. We were having a grand ‘ol time at the new Whole Foods Market that opened last week in Juriquilla, Querétaro. But then, suddenly, Ian asked us if we had heard of the new salon called Krazy Kutz. Lupta, Corinne and I had not. Morelia said she had heard of it. Ian told us he kinda knew we would say that, so he made a reservation for us. We… weren’t that excited. We supposed it was just another salon with a weird name to just… attract young people or something, I dunno.

So, we finished our delicious sushi (frickin’ love sushi), and we headed to Paseo Querétaro Shopping Centre, where “Krazy Kutz” was supposed to be. After 20 minutes, we arrived at Paseo Querétaro. We were looking for “Krazy Kutz”, so we followed some signs and weird posters and when we were just about to arrive, we saw two friends who looked at something and then laughed hysterically. My friends and I looked at each other with a “what the frick just happend” face, and when we were just in front of the place, our minds were blown away! We had our minds blown away by the craziness of those haircuts.

We entered the place and the very next thing we saw was this: “What do you mean by -I don’t like it?- This is a masterpiece! You think it was a bad idea? You felt pretty bad when those two girls laughed at you? Why do you care?! Their opinions don’t matter!!! They’re all ignorant anyways! Too crazy for you? Well, in case you didn’t notice, this fricking place is fricking called Krazy fricking Kutz for a fricking reason, you bummer!!! Get the hell out of here!”

The girl who was being yelled at, ran away crying. My friends and I, and literally everybody in Krazy Kutz, looked at Tina. Oh, by the way, the person who was yelling at the poor girl is called Tina, who apparently had to be the owner of the place. She’s also a world renowned stylist.

Suddenly, she looked at us. “Oh… sorry for all of that. Heh, heh… so… what can I do for y’all?” She said in a cheerful mood.

My friends and I were turned into stone because of all of that yelling and by that sudden change of mood. Corinne, Lupita and Morelia said, in a really scared voice, "what they wanted”.

Ian and I stood there awkwardly. Ian escaped the place with a fake “I have something else to do” excuse, so I was left there alone. I wasn’t scared though… just a bit… surprised. I, feeling nervous, told her “No, thanks”.

Tina looked at me with a threatening look… and then laughed. “Ha, ha, ha! Don’t worry, kiddo! I don’t bite!” And she continued to laugh and so I did, too, but nervously. Then, she asked me if I was sure. I stood there thinking for a while. I just wanted to walk around and just… be a spectator. I wasn’t expecting so many weird/crazy things to happen! I told her I wanted my hair to look like an apple. Don’t judge me! It was a lot of pressure!

So, she proceeded to give me a seat and started with her job. 2 hours went by and I was getting hungry. I had only had a little sushi so don’t judge me!!! So I had a Double Western Bacon Burger from Carl’s Jr. delivered by an Uber Eats. I fricking enjoyed it. My stomach was satisfied… well… I also had some Lays (Sabritas) delivered to me by a Rappi… I just can’t have enough, ok?!

4 hours had passed since Tina began her work. Finally, it was done. My crazy haircut was done after almost 5 hours! Corinne, Lupita and Morelia were not done yet. So, I looked at myself in the mirror and… it was amazing! It wasn’t the best thing in the universe but it was very cool! My friends were amazed and Tina seemed very proud of it.

“Hey” She told me, “you should take a selfie and post it on Instagram, and don’t forget to tag us, ok?” So I took the selfie and posted it on Instagram:

“I had my hair done at @KrazyKutzQRO! Come get your amazing, crazy haircut here! #KrazyKut #ILoveApples Thanks to @KrazyTinaWorkz for her amazing job!!!”

Later that day, I checked Instagram and I had a total of 100 likes from friends, cousins and other people. Then, I got a phone call from my parents who said that they liked (‘cause I don’t think they liked it that much) it. I think they were surprised and kind of scared but they didn’t want to tell me about it… The next day I was doing some stuff (which I don’t have the obligation to say) and people who walked near by me were really impressed… or really scared of the hair cut (XD). I think I would recommend the place to my friends and/or family. It is a really cool place. I think I should also warn them about their first probable impression of Tina...

MY KRAZY KUT

(and the day I almost died)

Two months ago, I was thinking about my boring hairstyle. It was a boring ponytail. All of a sudden, I realized that I had the internet and that a few days ago, I saw that crazy ad about hairstyles. Then, I opened my laptop and searched for “crazy hairstyles”, and… OMG!! I saw so many colorful hairstyles with a lot of different shapes, but also I saw terrifying pictures… I saw images of dead people inside the beauty salon. Also, I saw a woman that had a knife in her hand with a lot of blood… Her clothes were torn and dirty and behind her was a corpse… All inside of the beauty salon! That was the most terrifying picture of all.

Leaving all this behind, I started looking for a beauty salon where they made super crazy haircuts and actually I found one!! The owner was named Tina and she had made so many makeovers! I didn’t know in that moment why her face was so familiar to me. BUT, THE BAD NEWS! One of those hairstyles cost you around $80,000!!! I got very sad because I thought I wouldn’t get my hair done but, in that exact moment my Aunt Gaby called me. She said that she made a reservation at Tina's salon but she couldn’t go because she would be busy. The point is that Gaby gave me the reservation to the salon!! Also, she already had the tickets for the flight!!! Next day, she went to my house and gave the tickets.

The next day, I started packing my things and preparing the money to pay. It was a really normal day. But suddenly, someone started knocking at my door. I went to my door and I asked who was there. No one responded. I asked again and nothing. I thought it was just a joke but, I opened the door… What I saw was… was… TERRIFYING!!!! It was a ZOmBiE!!!!!!!!!!!! I got really scared!!!!! I didn’t know what to do!!! I closed the door, but the ZOmBiE opened it again and started chasing me!!! I ran out of the house, got into my car and started driving.

Actually, I went to the airport to the airport. The thing is, that I HAD FORGOTTEN MY THINGS AND MY MONEY!!!! but I couldn’t return to my house. There was a ZOMBIE!! I didn’t forget the tickets, though, so I boarded the plane. Something weird was that all the windows were covered with some black fabric so we couldn’t see anything outside.

When we “arrived," the staff removed the fabric but what I saw was….. The moon?! I got confused. Instead of seeing a beautiful city I saw many craters. The pilot told us that specifically Krazy Kutz was on the moon. Even so, I was still very confused but for some reason, actually everything felt normal.

I changed my clothes into an astronaut suit and went outside. I felt as if I was in water, with almost no gravity. I saw Krazy Kuts far away. I started jumping until I got there and remembered halfway that I had forgotten my money... Anyway I kept jumping. When I finally arrived, I found something that scared me... It was another ZOMBIE !!! Again!!! The ZOMBIE started chasing me… Again!!! I couldn’t run so I jumped.The ZOMBIe was behind me. I fell. The ZOMBIE caught me and it started EATING ME!!!

I woke up. Apparently everything had been just a bad nightmare.

I started my day feeling a little bit weird because of the nightmare but I was ok. I packed my things for the trip. My money, my ticket, my clothes, etc. When I finished, I asked for a Uber and went to the airport. I gave my tickets to the lady that was at the gate and I boarded the plane.

We arrived, and I immediately went to Crazy Cutz (it wasn’t on the moon this time). When I entered, I saw Tina screaming and yelling at others. She was running here and there. She was throwing a lot of things. Simply out of control. Even I managed to see that she had a knife! Tina told me to get in and then asked me what I wanted her to make me. I told her an octopus, and she started laughing. Tina said that an octopus was the most boring hairstyle she had ever done. But, she started making me my new do.

After several hours, Tina started to have seizures, like an epileptic attack or something. She started to get even crazier than she already was. She took out the knife I had seen before and started killing everyone!!! There was blood and limbs bowling everywhere! I ran out of there but Tina started chasing me like a psychopath! I called a taxi and we got out of there… The good thing is that she finished my do…

We arrived at the airport and I boarded the airplane.

I returned to Mexico and went to my parents house. They were really surprised when they saw me. They were surprised about my super cool hairstyle but also because I had a lot of blood in my shirt. First, they asked me to tell them what happened and after telling them they almost died. They got even more surprised and more scared than they were before. My mom prohibited me to go to a beauty salon again. At the other side, my dad told me that why I didn’t kill her before. I didn’t know what to answer.

What I knew was that Tina was near…

Hi I am Morgan Le Fay daughter of Igraine and Gorlois, big sister of Morgause and half sister of Arthur, I don't really like Arthur I hate him but that isn't the point, I am going to tell you about my daily routine in my life.

First, I woke up and I take a bath in the bathtub because I have a date with Sir Lancelot. When I finished my bath I changed in my dark dress with gold jewelry. Then I have breakfast with my sister Morgause, meanwhile I have my bedroom done by the servant and I like to have my window open that is a gold rule. When we finished eating, we went to the living room to talked about what we are going to do this day and she was going to see mordred if you do no who is Mordred? he's my nephew and I love him to much. Morgause tell me that if I what to come? but I said no because I have a date. When we finished talked, I went to my bedroom to practice magic while my boyfriend arrived. When I do magic in my room I like to close my window to have concentration on my magic and I don't get distracted. I consider myself the best sorceress, I really like dark magic and I am working on a new spell but it's a secret.

My servant told me that Sir Lancelot is waiting for me in the garden and I went there and we went to town, people in the town think that I am a selfish person because I only care of myself, maybe my personality is rude but I have a heart. We went to the town because Sir Lancelot is a gentleman and he need to train because he is having a tournament and I went

to see him. In that training also I saw mordred and I know that he will be extraordinary and he would be the destruction of my poor little brother Arthur. When they finished the training we ate with him and I spent time with him. At night I returned to the castle and I continue with my practice of magic, when I got tired I went to my comfortable dark bed and I fell asleep and I liked that my room is black because the light never bother me at night.
