About Me
About Me
Hello! My name is Kelly Murray, and I am so excited to work with 1st through 8th grade on art at MaST. I have a BFA in Painting from Temple University, Tyler School of Art and Architecture, and my PA Art Education Certification from Moore College of Art & Design. I have always loved all art styles and, most importantly, the art history behind a piece of work, ranging from Pop Art history to Italian Renaissance history. I am so grateful to be a part of the students' art process, utilize their creative minds, and encourage them to do their best!

Educational Practice
Art is relevant and educational because it asks us to collaborate, self-reflect, practice patience, and build on our curiosities. Practicing the art of listening is central to building any work of art—it can teach us how to pay attention to what's working and learn from what's broken. Coincidentally, often the first step towards sparking interest and creating something exciting and new is turning to the person next to you. Students will use a wide range of different mediums in class and are always encouraged to think outside of the box!
