K-2
Kodable is an app on Clever where students learn to code with the Fuzz Family! Once enough levels are completed, they can create and design their own Fuzz character. Kodable teaches about sequences, loops, and conditionals.
1-6
In 1st grade, students will start using CodeSpark to continue their coding journey. We will practice with sequences and loops and work our way to game design! Every student will learn how to create their own computer game, allowing their creativity to soar!
1-6
Code.org is the final coding app that is used in class from 1st grade through 6th grade. Code.org is used for class assignments to learn skills such as loops, conditionals, events, and more! In 4th and 6th grade, Code.org is used to create unique projects where students use their coding skills to create their own Dance Party and Art Design.
K-6
Every grade throughout the year will participate in building days! Whether it be a challenge day or a free build day for imagination, every student K-6 will use LEGO this year.
2-6
Students will be introduced to LEGO Robotics program called SPIKE in 2nd grade. In 2nd grade, they will be creating carnival rides. 3rd grade goes exploring in the wilderness and under the ocean with their builds. In 4th grade, they will reach new heights with the cable car, and in 5th grade, they will create the ultimate pinball machine to play with their friends. In our final year of 6th grade, students will be making a robotic arm, which they will use to see how many LEGO blocks they can stack...while only operating their arm.
4-6
Students will be introduced to our blue robots, Dash & Dot. Starting in 4th grade, students will learn how to program and code each robot to move, speak, make noises/sound effects, and complete fun tasks!
