About Me!
Hello! I'm Miss Swartley, and I will be your 6th-grade math and science teacher this school year! This marks my third year teaching 6th grade at MaST and my fourth year overall in this grade.
Before joining MaST, I taught 6th grade in the Reading School District. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Middle Level Education (grades 4-8) from Kutztown University. Throughout my teaching journey and my time at Kutztown, I've developed a genuine passion for educating middle school students. I've honed my skills in using effective middle-level practices through these experiences.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, going camping, and visiting the beach. I'm also an animal lover and have a fondness for coffee and sweet treats!
This year, my goal is to create an environment where students can reach their full potential while fostering a deep love of learning, all while preparing each student for 7th grade.
