This is my sixth year at MaST III, and I'm so happy to be back teaching 8th Grade ELA again!

8th Grade is a pivotal year that comes with many milestones, and my job is to support students through those transitions. In our class, we will read about a wide variety of topics, including war, basketball, poetry, love, civil rights, and power. The linking idea: how we as humans experience these things.

Students should strive to read, write, speak, and listen in every class period. If they can do so, they are much more likely to learn and retain the skills from class.
