Welcome to 8th grade Science class
Welcome to 8th grade Science class
In science class, we will be working through five units using the iScience Curriculum.
Unit 1: Understanding the Universe
Unit 2: Earth and Geologic Changes
Unit 3: Exploring Ecology
Unit 4: Motion and Energy
Unit 5: Interactions of Matter
Throughout the year, I will work to incorporate labs, class discussions, and classwork practice to provide students with a variety of ways to engage with the material.
I would like students to be involved in school and have time to participate in activities outside of the classroom. Because of this, I work to ensure that any homework assigned is purposeful. Homework will generally consist of studying for a test or quiz or completing classwork that has not been finished in class.
5% — Homework
15% — Quizzes
40% — Tests
40% — Classwork
The 5% previously allocated to homework has been incorporated into the classwork category.
Hello! I’m so excited to be part of MAST this school year!
I earned my bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University in 2025. After graduating, I taught in the Neshaminy School District, where I taught 7th Grade Science.
I grew up in Penndel, PA, which is about 15 minutes from MAST III, so I’m excited to be back in the area and part of the community!
Outside of school, I enjoy reading, going on walks, spending time with my family, going to the gym, and finding new and fun crafts to try.
I’m so excited for this school year and can’t wait to get to know everyone!
