A shop filled with handcrafted weapons and armor, created with breathtaking detail.
Get yourself ready to go far back in time with our local Camelot Days Fair, right here in South Florida. Open until November 21st, 5:30 P.M., this fair is filled with things to do and see.
Opening early in the morning, there’s a slew of things to explore, with a friendly and dedicated staff to make your experience the best. Scattered around the park are independent shop owners, with wares ranging from clothing to armor to even imitation weapons! And dotted along with them are small-business owners selling their very own food for you to enjoy during the shows.
Oh, did I mention? There are shows! Every single show on your itinerary is worth your while, why, there’s barely enough time to see them all! Each show is hosted by independent performers and entertainers, so be sure to leave a tip. They have everything from a sword fight, to a genuine trebuchet, to a real-life jousting competition! (With professionals, of course.)
Every step down the road here is filled with excitement and wonder. Patrons love to come here dressed up, as the faire gets bigger and bigger each year, so do the costumes become ever more grand and spectacular. On my visit this past weekend, I saw Thor, Son of Odin, I saw a woman dressed as a puppet while a woman behind her on stilts held the strings, why, we even met real knights of a round table! Although, the table was not so much round as it was rectangular.
All the decoration, effort, and love that was clearly put into this fair as a group effort is simply phenomenal. If you’re not careful, you could forget that things there are fake- it felt quite real to me! If this kind of experience sounds as amazing to you as it truly was for me, then you can give it a visit at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park, or T.Y. Park for short. The tickets for entry are $20, or just $10 for small children, and these tickets can be purchased in person or online.
