Classwork to submit
Brief description of the product you selected and its function, providing all needed context for the rest of the project.
Your electronic poster, or a picture of your physical poster, including the following items:
Rendered isometric drawing with a title bar and notes for each part of the product.
A photographic image of the complete consumer product.
A brief description of your findings during each phase of the reverse engineering process to include:
Visual Analysis. Include photographic images of various views and a description of the visual elements and principles of design.
Functional Analysis. Include an explanation of the operation of the product using photographic images or views of the part solid models where appropriate.
Structural Analysis. Include the Disassembly Chart.
Brief response to the following question:
What was biggest challenge you faced in completing this project, and what did you learn from that challenge?
All complete project submissions will receive industry expert feedback!
Challenge Winner | Awarded to the team with the best overall reverse engineering project, as demonstrated by the thorough and clear documentation of the reverse engineering process.
Innovation Award | Awarded to the team with the most creative project. The winning project demonstrates the reverse engineering of a unique or uniquely constructed product.
Presentation Award | Awarded to the team with the best project presentation. The winning project had materials that were clearly labeled, easily understandable and demonstrated the team’s outstanding knowledge and design process.
