Welcome to the new Mascalls Academy portal for transition, where you can find information and guidance to support you and your child with the transition from primary to secondary school.

Moving from primary school to secondary school is an exciting time in a child's life, but for many children it can also be a daunting prospect. A new, much bigger school can offer greater independence, such as their first smartphone, and a world of opportunity. However, it also means new teachers, new subjects and potentially a whole new set of friends. This website has been designed to answer your questions relating to transition and provide general information about Mascalls Academy.

At Mascalls Academy we are committed to ensuring the transition from primary to secondary school is an happy, exciting and smooth one. We want you and your child to feel they know the school, teachers and students before September.

We have a well established transition plan in place, however, please be advised that due to the current COVID-19 situation this year's transition programme will alter slightly and any changes will be communicated to parents via email as soon as a decision has been made.

Programme of Transition Events

  • * Due to the government update, the College Parent Evening will now be delivered virtually. This evening will take place on Wednesday 30th June at 6pm.
