Max Burke
Max (he/him) earned his Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia Communications with a minor in writing at Marywood. Now, he is a first year graduate student. He is also a DJ for91.7 VMFM.
Max specializes in maintaining focus and clarity in writing and writing for the humanities.
Jocelyn Hittle
Jocelyn (she/her) is a second-year Theatre and Religions Studies double major also working toward a Philosophy minor. She is a published poet, a member of the Marywood Players, and social media chair for MTD. In her free time, Jocelyn loves to hike or spend time with her dog named Leggs.
Jocelyn specializes in rhetoric and Chicago Manual Style citations.
Liv Kaschak
Liv (she/her) is a double major in English Literature and Writing in her third year here at the university. She is Co-President of the Language and Literature Club and Reads at least 50 books outside of school each year! She enjoys watching movies, book shopping, and writing poetry
Her Biggest strengths are MLA format and citation, sentence clarity, thesis writing, and organization.
Shannon Maiello
Shannon (she/her) is a third year student double majoring in English Literature & Writing with a minor in education. She is a co-president of the Language & Literature Club and enjoys reading and painting in her free time!
Allie Solimine
Allie (she/her) is an English with a writing minor
and is in her fourth year here at the university.
She is Vice President of the Music Production club and a recently licensed nail technician.
Her biggest strengths grammar, punctuation, MLA and APA style
Ricky Stains III
Ricky (he/him) is a junior Nursing major and returning Writing tutor. He is involved in numerous clubs such as MAC, SGA, SNAM, and orientation. He is also a member of Marywood's Cross Country and Track and Field teams.
Ricky's favorite genre of writing is argumentative writing, and he is skilled in using Chicago Manual Style.
Allie Taffera
Allie (she/her) is a junior Elementary and Special Education major. She is a seasoned tutor, an admissions ambassador, president-elect of MUSE, a member of the Honors Program, and a member of the Orientation Team.
Allie's favorite genre of writing is research, and she is skilled in both APA and MLA formatting.
Katie McNulty
Director of Tutoring & Writing Centers
Katie (she/her) is the professional writing specialist on campus and assists both undergraduate and graduate students in meeting the demands for higher ed writing. Katie has been teaching freshman composition and working in college writing centers for several years following a career in secondary education, during which she taught writing, literature, psychology, sociology, and American history. She also teaches fitness and yoga when not at Marywood.
As Director, Katie hires and trains all peer tutors on campus.
