-Let it be their writing.
-Don't help them spell words, instead encourage them to use their strategies to do their best spelling.
-Don't edit their work or point out mistakes.
-Encourage them to look back at their work and check for capitals and periods, but if they are still missing them that is fine for now.
-Remind them to do their best printing.
-Work on building stamina. They should be able to write independently.
-When they "finish" one piece of writing encourage them to start another one or reread their old writing.
