How to Help with Reading

-Read nightly with your child

-Don't tell them a word they don't know encourage them to use their reading strategies.  

-Encourage them to reread books.

-Be their reading partner after they read independently.

-Talk about books with them.    

-Work on building stamina.  Their ability to read independently without loosing focus.  Work up to 15 minutes.
