ABOUT ME
Hello Students and Parents! My name is Matthew Pitts, and I am thrilled to be your Band Director for the Marlow Band Program. Here's a bit about me:
Background: I have been immersed in the world of music since I joined band in 5th grade. It's been over 20 years! I have experience in both performance and education.
Education: I hold a degree in Music Performance from The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. My education has equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively teach and inspire students in their musical journey.
Teaching Philosophy: I believe that music is a powerful tool for personal expression, creativity, and collaboration. My teaching philosophy revolves around creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their musical talents and develop a lifelong love for music.
Passion for Teaching: Teaching music is not just a job for me; it's my passion. I am dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential, whether they are beginners or advanced musicians. I am committed to fostering a sense of community within the and program, where every student feels valued and supported.
