Summer Online Learning Resources

The Marlboro Central School District is pleased to have a variety of resources available to our students for enrichment and review during the summer months.

Please click the logos below to access each resource. Parent letters with login credentials for and Raz-Kids will be sent home with children.

Vocabulary words used at all grade levels throughout the school year in the Marlboro Central School District are available for review and practice during the summer months. Information regarding how to have the words spoken for children is also available.

The interactive activities at are used in Grades K-6 to provide students with keyboarding instruction and practice, and to educate them in areas such as computer basics, conducting online searches, and digital citizenship.

Flocabulary is a learning program for all grades that uses educational hip-hop music to engage students and increase achievement across the curriculum. Schools use Flocabulary’s standards-based videos, instructional activities and student creativity tools to supplement instruction and develop core literacy skills.

The eSpark Literacy program that your child in Kindergarten and First Grade has worked with during ELA station time in their classroom since the fall, will now be available during the summer months! Please check out the suggested iOS apps using your household iPad-compatible. This will provide your child with the opportunity to practice and refine the work they have done with their teacher this year in a fun manner.

Summertime is fun time for readers of all ages! Browse through for summer reading-related materials. “Libraries Rock” this summer at your local library. To join in the fun of Summer Reading today, just find your local library website and register!

Mathtrain.TV is a free, educational "kids teaching kids" project from Mr. Marcos & his Students at Lincoln Middle School in Santa Monica, CA.

Inspired by Dr. Seuss’s lifelong goal to make learning to read fun, the Word Challenge is all about reading as many words as you can this summer! Find great new books in the Word Counter-Upper, including many classics now in Spanish. Join us each week to read a different fan favorite!

We’ve all heard the statistics: students may experience up to 2 months of learning loss during the summer months. There are many summer learning options, but many of them are costly and not affordable for all students.

Using ACT Academy, which is completely free, students can stay on top throughout the summer and have a strong start when they head back to school in the fall!

Below is information regarding The Art Effect's summer art programs in our area:

Ulster Arts Camp

This will be the first ever Ulster Arts Camp in New Paltz this summer for The Art Effect. It is going to be held at SUNY New Paltz for ages 4-12. The weeks are for Aug 5th-9th and Aug 12th-16th. The artists who attend the camp will learn and expand on a wide variety of arts skills: film & media, puppetry making & performing, ceramics, theater, music, mixed media, photography, etc.

Junior Art Institute

Ages 11-14 (JAI) at Dutchess Community College where they experience different mediums more in depth. Learning more advanced techniques & skills, 2D, photo, and film.

The Summer Art Institute

14-19 year olds at Dutchess Community College that preps them for college/trades in the arts. Choosing the medium they wish to pursue further and perfecting it.
