The MaritimeONE bursaries are open to:
Singaporean and Singapore PR students;
Full-time undergraduate courses in the local ITE, polytechnics and universities with good results;
Gross Monthly Household Per Capita Income (PCI) of less than or equal to $2,500 per month
Bursary is tenable for one academic year; and will cover 70% of Singaporean school fees.
Each award has a 6-month moral obligation to serve the maritime industry. Upon graduation, awardees should seek a maritime role or job in a maritime company to fulfill this obligation.

What are the criteria to be eligible for a MaritimeONE Bursary?
This bursary is open to full time undergraduates who are Singaporean or Singaporean PR.
Have Gross Monthly Household Per Capita Income (PCI) of less than or equal to $2,500 per month.
Applicants must demonstrate that they will be able to serve their moral obligation to work in the maritime industry for at least 6 months upon graduation.
Applicants must not have any disciplinary records and should be from the following institutions with the corresponding minimum CGPA :

How do I calculate my monthly Per Captial Income (PCI)?
PCI calculated by taking the the monthly gross income of family members in household divided by the total number of family members in household.
Gross income refers to amount before deduction of CPF. It includes allowances, overtime, commissions, etc.
What is the moral obligation associated to the MaritimeONE Bursary?
Each award has a 6-month moral obligation to serve the maritime industry. Upon graduation, awardees should seek a maritime role or job in a maritime company to fulfill this obligation.
Internships do not count towards this moral obligation.
What are the supporting documents must I prepare?
Softcopy of your Singapore NRIC (both sides)
NRIC of parents (both sides) and family members living under the same household. If address reflected on NRIC is different from applicant, a letter of explanation is required.
Income Declaration through either form of:
a) Latest Payslip and/or Employer Certification for All Working Adults;
b) Latest Income Tax Statements for Self-Employed Adults; or
c) CPF Transaction Statement (showing transaction for the last six months) for Any Unemployed Adults
If your siblings are students, please submit a copy of their student pass or student ez-link card. If they are full time National Servicemen, a copy of their Green ID is required.
Relevant documents that support your application e.g. medical report, death certificate, divorce document and retrenchment letter.
If you are a scholarship/ bursary holder, please submit a copy of the agreement showing the amount (to be) awarded and year of award.

What is the quantum for the MaritimeONE Bursary?
Regardless Singaporean or PR, each awardee is entitled to 70% of the school fees payable by Singaporeans for the academic year.
What is the bursary process like? How is the MaritimeONE Bursary disbursed to successful applicants?
Upon submission of e-form, successful applicants would be invited for an online interview.
Upon a successful award, SMF will contact you through the provided contact details, for the signing of the letter of undertaking and request for your bank account details. Please ensure that it must be an account registered to your name.
Please note that SMF would never request for a security pin or password.
How would I be informed of my application outcome?
A call would be attempted for the confirmation of your award and an email will be sent. Therefore, please do ensure that your contact details are correct.
Can I hold a scholarship or receive another bursary?
If you have received a bursary/scholarship, please check with your bursary/scholarship administrator/provider if you may receive this bursary.
The terms of your award(s) must:
Not cover 100% of your school fees.
Not bar you from being able to serve the moral obligations related to this bursary.
MaritimeONE scholars are not eligible for this bursary.
How long is this bursary eligible for? If I am successfully receive a MaritimeONE Bursary, am I able to apply for this bursary again for the next academic year?
This bursary is tenable for one academic year. A fresh application would need to be made in the next academic year, do note that there will be an additional 6 months of moral obligations to undertake.
Each awardee may only receive a maximum of 2 MaritimeONE bursary awards.
What do I do if I missed the application and/or document submission deadline?
Late applications are not accepted. Applications with incomplete information, inaccurate information and/or lack of supporting documents will not be processed.
