Mariposa Physical Therapy

In-home physical therapy for infants, children and teens with developmental concerns and genetic or neurologic conditions.

I'm Dr. Samantha Garza, a Board-Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist and Certified Neuro-Developmental Treatment therapist (C/NDT). I come to you in San Antonio and the Hill Country, so therapy fits into your child's real day.

WHAT I OFFER

Evaluation

A first visit in your home to understand your child, your goals, and your daily routine.

In-home therapy sessions

45 to 60 minute sessions that build on your child's small gains and teach you what to practice between visits.

Parent coaching

Practical, simple ideas for handling, positioning and play, so you feel confident at home.

Telehealth visits

45 to 60 minute video visits for coaching and follow-up.

Intensives and mini-intensives

Concentrated blocks of therapy over several days. Families traveling to San Antonio are welcome. Please ask about rates.

Treatment packages

WHO I WORK WITH

Babies, children and teens with developmental concerns, and genetic or neurologic conditions such as cerebral palsy and spinal cord injury. Starting early matters, and it is never too late to build on what your child can do.

TRAINING AND APPROACH

I am a Board-Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist and Certified Neuro-Developmental Treatment therapist (C/NDT). I am certified in Cuevas Medek Exercise (CME) at Levels I and II and trained in aquatic therapy. I draw on these approaches to fit each child and family, focusing on the small changes that lead to bigger gains in daily life.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Request a consult using the form.

2. I will reply within 3 to 5 business days.

3. We meet for an evaluation at home and talk about your family's goals.

4. We build a plan together and review it as your child grows.

PAYMENT AND INSURANCE

Mariposa Physical Therapy is a cash-based practice. I can provide a superbill so you can ask your insurance about out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed.

REFERRALS

In Texas, I can begin therapy without a referral for up to 30 consecutive calendar days. After that, a referral from your child's doctor is required, and I am glad to help coordinate. Physical therapy does not replace a medical diagnosis or care from your child's doctor.
