Studying skills are very important in today’s society. They can vary a lot from person to person, because of our unique learning styles. For example here are some popular ones that you can try:
Task prioritization
Organization
Take notes during class
Time management
To-Do list
Task Prioritization is through the following:
Prioritize by what due dates are coming up fastest.
Consider what's the most pressing task.
Know what to tackle first and to balance the mind.
Organization is important for many reasons:
You can organize your work space by class or by how hard something is.
It helps you visualize how much you have and makes it easier to find what you will need for each specific class.
It also makes it so you can find all the papers you need for that class at that specific time.
Taking notes during class is helpful for many reasons:
Note-taking can help you pay attention.
Notes help you remember important information.
Notes can be used to study for exams.
Notes also help with homework.
Time management is important for many reasons:
Managing your time can help even out what you have to do most in a time crunch.
This skill can help you gauge a time for when you'll be done.
If you have an essay you could work on it for ‘x’ amount of time each day till its done or till it’s due.
If you have a test every week, the night before, you can study for the upcoming test and a little bit for future tests.
A to-do list is helpful for many reasons:
You can keep track of your homework.
You can visualize how much you really have to do.
You can do it on paper, on a doc, or even on a note.
You can cross things off to feel accomplished.
Read, Write, Recite is a helpful process to maximize memory in which you:
Read what your studying.
Write it down so you don't forget.
Recite it to yourself or to a study buddy.
