11/14/2025 - Saipan, MP — The Republican Party of the Northern Mariana Islands (NMI) confirms receipt of a Letter of Intent from Vinnie Vinson Flores Sablan, formally declaring his intention to seek the Republican nomination for Governor of the CNMI in the upcoming 2026 General Election.
The Party expresses its appreciation to former Senator Vinnie Sablan for his submission and continued commitment to public service and leadership within the Commonwealth.
Pursuant to Party Bylaws, the Republican Party Board will convene after the submission deadline to review, deliberate, and take appropriate action on all Letters of Intent received for CNMI-wide elected offices.
The deadline for the submission of Letters of Intent for all CNMI-wide elected offices — including Governor and Delegate to Congress — has been set for Friday, December 12, 2025.
The Republican Party welcomes all interested and qualified individuals who wish to seek the Party’s nomination for any CNMI-wide elected position to submit their Letter of Intent before the deadline.
“Our Party continues to uphold the principles of unity, opportunity, and service to the people of the Commonwealth,” said Party President Patrick M. Cepeda. “We look forward to an open and inclusive process that strengthens our Republican team heading into the 2026 elections.”
