What is Godspell?

Godspell is an ensemble musical conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak with music and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. It tells the story of Jesus and a group of His followers through the words of the Book of Matthew and songs inspired by hymns and psalms.
