The St. Albans Skating Association proudly supports hockey for everyone!
The St. Albans Leafs (established 2018) are the first special hockey team in Vermont!
We are registered with USA Hockey and American Special Hockey Association.
We are currently accepting players that are at least 5 years old through adults!
The mission is to enrich the lives of individuals with intellectual, developmental & physical disabilities through increasing players’ personal development and self-confidence on and off the ice by:
Having Fun
Learning Team Work
Building Friendships
Increased Physical Activity
Gaining Confidence
The athletes’ journey begins with learning to skate where we teach the very basics needed to progress to being independent on the ice. They can progress to playing special hockey games or participating in the SASA youth hockey program. Our policy of inclusion allows anyone to try something they may have never thought possible. The program is free to try.
We skate once a week from late September to early March at Collins Perley Sports Center in St. Albans, VT.
We are able to provide equipment for most players because of quality donations from community members and American Special Hockey.
Please contact Luke Cioffi or John Cioffi with any questions regarding the Leafs program.
