Man With A Horse Project is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to bringing Horses and Humans together for Holistic Learning and Healing. We partner Warriors and Wild Mustangs for Mutual Growth and Development and provide Education on the Plight of America’s Wild Horses out West.

Jake LaRue is the Man With A Horse, a Horse Professional and Marine Corps Veteran who's Mission is to share the Healing Power of Horses with other Veterans,
He is Certified in Equine Facilitated Learning through the HERD Institute and is Eagala Certified and Military Designated. He has been Serving the Veteran Community in Western North Carolina for 10 years and currently works out of Shaman Hill Center in Alexander, NC. Jake is available to serve as an Equine Specialist for Individual and Group Sessions, Demonstrations, Workshops, and Retreats, and as a Consultant on Working with Equines and the Military Veteran Population.

Darin Echerd is an Air Force Veteran, Volunteer, and Wrangler for Man With A Horse Project. He is passionate about horses and has benefited from their impact on his life. Darin is looking forward to helping Veterans and teaching people about how important horses can be to a person's well-being. In his free time, Darin loves to be creative and spend time with his family.
