Class overview
AVID IV will provide students with the guidance and resources to identify prospective colleges, apply to colleges and apply for scholarships. The course will also provide support with navigating the FAFSA process. Your activities in AVID IV will result in college preparedness as well as character development. AVID IV utilizes writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading.
AVID III will provide students with the guidance and resources to prepare for College Board and other assessments, to prepare to apply to colleges and apply for scholarships. The course will also provide support with navigating the process for college applications. Your activities in AVID III will result in test preparedness, college preparedness as well as character development. AVID III utilizes writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading.
About me
After an extensive education journey from Bachelor's to Doctorate, I have amassed a wealth of knowledge and resources that can be useful to scholars and families who are navigating college application and funding processes. I also have a daughter who is a senior in high school, so I am also treading the same path as the families that I am serving.
I am excited to guide you all through this pivotal time in your lives. Please get what you need from me. Ask questions, dig deeper. Find what lights your fire, and I will support you through that process. It is my goal to help you achieve your goals. Be open to the process and it will work for you. Let’s get busy.
