The National Association of Cranial Prosthesis Specialists (NACPS) is proud to announce the appointment of Tamara Garrison-Thomas as its new President. A seasoned educator, beauty industry pioneer, and serial entrepreneur, Garrison-Thomas brings a legacy of impact to the organization’s mission of empowering medical wig providers with education, certification, and support.
Tamara is the Founder and CEO of Mane Elementz, Medical Wig Pro, and Beauty Supply School, where she has trained hundreds of aspiring entrepreneurs in how to build profitable beauty and digital businesses from the ground up. Her work in the hair extension and medical wig space spans more than 13 years, and her groundbreaking brand, Mane Elementz, was one of the first of its kind in the market. She also authored the bestselling book The Official Guide to Starting a Hair Extension Business Online, which continues to be a go-to resource in the industry.
A self-described “Success Teacher,” Garrison-Thomas holds a Bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University and an MBA from Argosy University. She is known for teaching everyday people—especially women—how to move from confusion to clarity, build real brands, and achieve financial freedom through purpose-driven entrepreneurship.
“As President of NACPS, my goal is to strengthen our national certification standards while making sure medical wig specialists have the visibility, credibility, and confidence they need to succeed,” says Garrison-Thomas. “Too often, people doing powerful work in hair loss care are overlooked. NACPS is here to change that.”
The National Association of Cranial Prosthesis Specialists exists to create a trusted registry of certified providers who offer wigs and hair replacement services for clients experiencing medical hair loss due to chemotherapy, alopecia, or other conditions. Under Tamara’s leadership, NACPS will expand access to certification, advocate for insurance reimbursement education, and provide business-building tools for professionals in the field.
“Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned provider, NACPS is here to help you level up and lead with excellence,” she adds.
