Overview
The Institute is a 4-day-long immersive learning experience, which blends hands-on, minds-on activities, whole-group discussion and processing, and individual and group reflection. Every morning and afternoon will include some synchronous screen time over Zoom as well as open time to complete related assignments.

to introduce foundational approaches to designing and facilitating maker-centered learning experiences that center learners and develop their critical consciousness and cognitive capacities
to facilitate reflection on our current language, practices, and biases in order to shift towards equitable and anti-racist outcomes for learners
to support visioning for building partnerships and engaging community around maker education
to guide in the identification of areas of focus and inquiry to be followed throughout the Learning Pathway
