The study of economics is a social science that has ties to a wide variety of fields, such as political science, geography, mathematics, sociology, psychology, engineering, law, medicine, and business. Therefore, it is vital to society's formation and maintenance. In several ways, ‘Economics’ can be defined- as the study of scarcity, how people use resources and respond to incentives or the study of decision-making. The Department of Applied Economics is intended to offer a variety of academic courses at different levels. With the objective of enhancing the thought process in the area of Economics, the department is committed to developing innovative ideas through the teaching-learning process & research activities.
