James W. Messerschmidt

James W. Messerschmidt is Distinguished University Professor Emeritus of Sociology.  He received his Ph.D. from the Criminology Institute in the Department of Sociology at the University of Stockholm, Sweden. He has published 16 books and over 85 refereed journal articles and book chapters. His research interests focus on: feminist theory; inequalities and intersectionality; gender, masculinities, and sexualities; gender and crime; and trans studies.
