The Resource Class at our school, established in 2005, serves students with disabilities who are enrolled in regular classes and possess certification from the Special Education Assessment and Counseling Committee of the Education Bureau. Students primarily gain admission through the Education Bureau's 12-Year Adaptive Placement Program. Additionally, entry is possible via methods such as exam-free admission, technical talent channels, or individual recruitment.
Educational Objectives
We develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs and differences, employing adaptive teaching strategies and curriculum adjustments to help students fully realize their potential. Simultaneously, we cultivate students' curiosity and foundational knowledge, teach learning methods, and foster a sense of personal responsibility to enhance their adaptation to school life and ability to live independently.
Scope of Work
The primary responsibilities of the Resource Class include: case management for special education students, assessment and career transition for these students, advocacy for special education, and the integration of applications for related professional services and support strategies. In terms of learning, we adjust the curriculum based on individual student needs and offer courses related to special needs areas.
