Work Experience

Assistant Researcher: ML in Acoustic Denial and Cybersecurity

Weber State University

Jan 2023 – Present

  • Conducted over 100 acoustic denial attack simulations on hard disk drives (HDDs), significantly reducing noise-related failures by implementing an ML-driven noise cancellation mechanism.

  • Secured a $5,000 research grant to present findings at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research in April 2025.

Graduate Assistant Teacher: CS 6300 – Route Planning and Navigation

Weber State University

March 2023 – Dec 2023

  • Co-developed and delivered a graduate-level course for seven students, awarded for interdisciplinary work between Computer Science and Automotive Technology departments.

  • Led hands-on sessions and projects on autonomous systems; programming TurtleBots, InDro bots, and F1-Tenth Racing cars.

Assistant Researcher: AI and Autonomous Vehicles

Weber State University

Oct 2022 – Present

  • Advanced self-driving technologies using Torch, OpenCV, 3D LiDARs, and SWARM learning models for decentralized and collaborative obstacle recognition and vehicle behavior projects.

  • Hosted tours and guest lectures for 25+ participants, increasing student interest in autonomous systems by 30%.

Assistant Researcher

National Center for Water Quality Research

Nov 2021 – Sept 2022

  • Applied ML to predict water quality trends in the Sandusky River 8 years ahead using a 10-year dataset providing actionable insights for environmental decision-making in collaboration with Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.

Data Analyst

National Center for Water Quality Research

Dec 2021 – Sept 2022

  • Processed and visualized river sensor data, creating reports to support environmental water quality monitoring.
