A little bit about myself
A little bit about myself
I am from the Knox area and graduated from Clarion University with my bachelor's degree in education with concentrations in middle school math and middle school social studies. I also have my masters degree in curriculum and instruction.
I am married and have a son in 1st grade and a baby girl. I also have 3 dogs as well. I enjoy camping, hiking, kayaking, and being outdoors. I also enjoy playing sports. I grew up playing basketball, softball, and volleyball. I enjoy playing tennis. I am an avid Pittsburgh fan of the Pirates, Penguins, and Steelers. Crafting is one of my favorite hobbies. I love to use my Cricut to make shirts and signs.
This is my 11th year teaching middle school math. I taught for 3 years in Raleigh, North Carolina, and this will be my 8th year at Oil City.
I'm really excited for another great school year!

Rules and Behavior
Be in your assigned seat and quiet when class begins.
Have all your needed supplies ready.
Raise your hand before you speak.
Show respect for the teacher, other students, and the room.
We will be following the Oiler Way for behavior and rewards in the classroom.
All Oiler Way information can be found in the student planner.
Oiler Way tickets will be give for behavior that goes above and beyond expectations.
Be safe. Be respectful. Be responsible.
Grades and Work
Assignments will be given paper assignments and assignments in google classroom (even though online, students are required to work the problems out on paper and pencil)
Complete assignments on time (points deducted for late work)
Any form of plagiarism will result in a zero for the assignment
Homework will be written on the homework board and must be written in the planner.
Homework, when assigned, is due at the beginning of class
It is your responsibility to make up work when absent.
ALEKS, an online math program, will be completed during homeroom and during class occasionally.
Weekly window for growth - 2 weeks (Monday through Sunday) - 6% growth
Students will be given a tracking sheet for students to track their weekly growth (will be kept in Oiler Lab).
