Professor Dr. Carl Winsløw is the President of the European Society for Research in Mathematics Education (ERME). His research interest is in the didactics of mathematics, mainly concerning the tertiary level. His scientific works include items on:

• didactics of mathematical analysis (and more generally, university math ed) 

• mathematics teacher knowledge

• epistemological components of preparing mathematics for teaching

• subfactors of von Neumann algebras

Emeritus Professor Dr. Wei-Chi Yang has given over 300 presentations regarding the innovative use of technological tools in teaching, learning, and research in Mathematics since 1991. His research involves computational Henstock integrations in multidimensions. Also, inspire students, teachers, and researchers to explore and discover mathematics with Dynamic Geometry Software and Computer Algebra System. He founded the Asian Technology Conference in Mathematics (ATCM: http://atcm.mathandtech.org) in 1995, Electronic Journal of Mathematics and Technology (eJMT: ejmt.mathandtech.org) in 2007, and launched the printed version of eJMT, called the Research Journal of Mathematics and Technology (RJMT: rjmt.mathandtech.org) in 2012, a joint project with Beijing Normal University of China. During his sabbatical, leave from 2013-2014, Professor Yang was invited to visit the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, China, the National Institute of Education-Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, Nelson-Mandela Metropolitan University of South Africa, Guangzhou University of China, Beijing Normal University of China, and Center for Research on International Corporation in Education Development-University of Tsukuba of Japan.

Professor Dr. Wee Tiong Seah’s research focuses on developing what teachers and students value in mathematics education, such that the valuing supports the teaching and learning of relevant competencies/proficiencies, and fosters a sense of well-being in engaging with mathematics. He currently coordinates a 19-country research consortium in a series of research studies relating to harnessing values to promote positive mathematics learning outcomes, develop teacher self-efficacy, and empower students to regulate mathematics anxiety. He is passionate about comparative education, researching how the last few decades of globalization have brought about a convergence of (mathematics) education policies that sidelines the cultural nature of knowledge, skills, and dispositions.
