Autism is not a disease; it is a neurodiverse way of thinking. Neurodiversity means that there are variations in the population when it comes to how people experience and interact with the world through their brains. Autism allows individuals to see and experience the world differently. Throughout this course, we will focus on the strengths of autistic individuals. This week, I challenge you to reflect on the strengths of thinking and experiencing the world differently! One diverse way that autistic people may experience the world is through intense interests.
