How to participate in an asynchronous workshop

• This workshop comprises informational and interactive elements

• All interactive material makes use of a Google Doc file (viewing access; editing access by permission only)

• The workshop works best if you progress through items in order; you determine your level of engagement with each item

Norms for respectful interactions with group-edited documents

• Respect the format of the document: Do not add or delete tabs in the Google doc unless explicitly invited to do so

• Respect the writing of the instructor and of others: Do not add or delete text  the Google doc unless explicitly invited to do so

• Respect the contributions of others: only edit and delete text that you have written

Norms for respectful conversations in online spaces

• Be open to learning and being correct

• Expect discomfort and honor safety

• Keep focused on ideas

• All voices should be heard

• Seek to understand others’ perspective

• Be kind to yourself and others

• Honor confidentiality - do not share information that others have provided on shared documents without their explicit consent
