Agricultural Educator
Hi, I’m Devaughn Walker, an Agriculture Education student at California State University, Fresno, with a passion for hands-on learning, leadership development, and preparing students for real-world success.
My journey into education has been shaped by a combination of classroom learning, agricultural experience, and working directly with students. Over the past year, I’ve had the opportunity to serve as a substitute teacher at the high school level, where I built strong classroom management skills, adapted to diverse learning needs, and created engaging learning environments across a variety of subjects.
In addition to teaching experience, I have a strong background in agriculture and technical skills. Through my work at the Fresno State dairy and swine units, I’ve gained hands-on experience in animal care, facility operations, and agricultural systems. These experiences continue to shape how I approach teaching, connecting real-world applications to classroom instruction.
