The XR Hub is proposed to leverage DXIHub’s interdisciplinary, innovation and incubation framework for faculty, students, and staff to:
support R&D in the campus adoption and deployment of XR technologies;
assist faculty for XR learning experience design and content development;
provide training opportunities for students;
leverage current DxIHub internship and PBL programs to offer student learn-by-doing for XR development;
maintain the Hubs at Fresno State as an Open Educational XR Platform and advocate for Open Education Resources (OER), offloading the licensing cost of XR content onto students;
produce immersive VR/360 lab experiences;
offer a collaborative research platform for the campus.
